Greetings from Georgetown, Kentucky

Georgetown is found in central Kentucky, less than 30 minutes north of Lexington along the I-75. Georgetown is the home to Georgetown College, and Robert Lonnie Suffoletta Memorial Park - both just minutes from downtown. Guests of the Best Western hotel in Georgetown often make the easy trek into Lexington and nearby Frankfort. Be sure to explore the historic downtown area for a look at over 300 buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In particular, visit the Scott County Courthouse, built in 1877, and the City Hall Building, built in 1899. For a touch of southern class, visit the Anne Wright Wilson Fine Arts Museum - open Mondays through Fridays. For those guests who do venture into Lexington, be sure to visit the campus of the University of Kentucky. A stunning campus that provides excellent visuals, sports fans will also get a kick out of the campus as it's home to Rupp Arena and the men's basketball team. Catch them in the fall as they slam and jam their way through the South Eastern Conference.
